Bacon soap
I made soap. Out of bacon!
Really!
A friend helped me collect the necessary 20 or so ounces of bacon fat – and Josh’s coworkers were all very happy to be served 2 pounds of crispy bacon on a random workday morning – and then with a little water, lye, food coloring and elbow grease, we had bacon soap.
It took a really long time to come to trace – by the time it was finished I was holding a bag of ice to the back of the immersion blender while smoke poured out the top – but I think it was worth it.

You are so awesome! I just read all your comments and you are hilarious!
(…but I do have to say it’s not entirely my idea. I got Josh some “bacon soap” for father’s day and it was just regular soap with icky smoke smell, so I thought, “what if it were REALLY made of bacon?!”)
