The garden is so lush and productive this Spring. I’ve never been able to grow carrots before, but look!

Short little things (the ones I harvested today were bigger) but oh, so flavorful. We’ve had carrots with dinner twice now. It is so satisfying to provide food for my family, you know?

These were overwintered, so some have bolted already and formed a woody core that you have to eat around like a chicken drumstick. Doesn’t matter, they’re still delicious. And those tender little garlic shoots go so well with them in brown butter.
