Yay! Even the newest tulips I planted have formed buds!
This particular one is an “El Nino” tulip. I could only afford about ten of them this year (because of all the other bulbs that I also bought, including, oh, 25 Daydream tulips!), but I hope they’ll be fruitful and multiply and eventually form what’s called a “40-mph-tulip” group – that is, a group that’s so bright it’s breathtaking even when just driven past at 40 miles per hour.
