Etsy, round 2
I used to be pretty active on Etsy until I got busy doing some other stuff like, well, raising my first baby, moving to a new house, having a second baby, trying to wring a productive hobby farm from land that had been woods for 50 years or more, you know, the usual.
Well, now that the craziness has abated somewhat, having a brand new squishable little baby to snuggle and make things for has inspired me again! I’ve made some pretty darn cute little bibs, and though it took a week to get the time to photograph and post them, I did it eventually. They’re up now at ButterBeanBoutique on Etsy.com (link), please check in and take a look around! Maybe you know someone who’s having a baby shower soon, or have an infant of your own?
Here’re just three examples:
I’ve also ordered some silver supplies so that I can start making fingersculpture necklace pendants for newborns like I did for Sofía so long ago. Alea deserves one too, after all. I adore wearing the impression of my girls’ tiny fingers around my neck so that I can hold their baby hands whenever I want (yes I get maudlin & sentimental sometimes, what mother doesn’t!), so I want to offer the opportunity to other moms too.
As far as I can tell, no one offers a similar product on Etsy (you’ll see what I mean when I post pictures of the pendant, it’s more of a 3-D sculpture rather than just the picture of a handprint) so hopefully there will be a demand for them.

You may have seen it already – I’ve had it as a pendant since Sofía was 3 months old.
