Tiny Taco, Destroyer of Worlds
She can crawl now.
Technically it happened for the first time yesterday, when she really, really wanted to chew on the TV cord. Her adamant desire to incinerate herself while proving us inadequate parents must have been the motivating factor, because I have never seen such a look of determination on her tiny face as she took two trembling little totters forward. As soon as I moved the cord away and provided a suitable toy instead, she flopped down face first and had a good ole tantrum, and that was it for the crawling that day.
Tonight though, she crawled for real, and Daddy was the one who saw it. He came and got me and we made such a big deal out of it that I think she was a little put off by our squeals. Also, I burned the onions in my excitement.
Wouldn’t you?

woweee!
now you need to move everyting out of reach–especially the candlestand in the background. She’d get a real shiner if she tried to pull herself up using that…
so great you got it on tape…
she is sure adorable…not that I am in any way prejudiced…so what are a few burnt onions to this visual feast.

How is that you did not mention this fabulous news when we were on the phone yesterday?!?!?!
Oh well, the video is awesome so I forgives you. 😉
I agree about the candle stand in the background! And the wires on the floor…my son child proofed our house for us–she’s going to do the same for you! Might I suggest the Super Play-yard, which we used as avery handy fence/gate while our son was crawling (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2266978) and the wonderful Tot Loc (http://www.toysrus.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2265782, which is $10 cheaper at Lowes!) for when she’s cruising (which will be soon now!).
Kiss that baby for me!
