That’s why I married him

So yesterday evening was kind of trying – a combination of 1) Taco hasn’t been sleeping well, 2) I chose a random Wednesday to cook a labor-intensive three-course meal, and 3) I’ve been doing yoga in the mornings. So I was fairly exhausted by the time I got her to go to sleep. I just lay down in bed with a book and tried to relax, and mentioned that I was hungry. And you know what J did? He brought me one of the big fat peanut-butter cookies I’d baked earlier that day.

But not just any cookie. First, he warmed the cookie. Then he melted chocolate and drizzled  it all over the top. Then he went outside and picked a flower and put it on the plate and brought it all up to where I lolled in pajama-clad sloth.

So sweet – and I don’t mean just the cookie. :)

So he made a mess with chocolate, vandalized the garden, and brought a cookie you made? Time to raise your standards. :)

Well, interesting perspective, but I think I’ll take what I can get. :)
